Cuisinart TOB-40 comes with stainless steel metal parts. It has a small broiling rack that will slide out automatically when the door opens. Wiping and cleaning is made easy with a non-stick interior. This classic toaster oven comes with an included pan which can be used for baking cookies or as a dripping catcher while broiling meat.

The crumb catch tray in the bottom will catch all food particles while cooking. You can take the crumb catch tray out and clean it in seconds. It has 3 control dials, the function dial on the top, the temperature dial on the middle and toast shade dial on the bottom. The control display letters and numbers are slightly small much to the dismay of older people. Cuisinart TOB-40 Custom Classic Toaster Oven Broiler doesn’t use up much counter space.

Cuisinart TOB-40 toaster oven tends to toast bread slices unevenly. Cuisinart has placed two heating elements, one on the top and the other on the bottom for even toasting. But it still doesn’t solve the problem.You may get uneven shades on different slices especially the ones that go first tend to be toasted appropriately and the other tend to become slightly over burned. However it does a great job with pizzas.

Regarding the durability for this toaster oven, we have some mixed feelings. There has been some complaints about heating element failing after couple of years.
