Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker 33967 User Review

33967 slow cooker from Hamilton Beach comes with a stainless steel base. This 6-Quart family slow cooker has a digital display panel which provides all required information about its operation. One thing I really liked is the temperature probe that comes with this, by using the temperature prob you can make sure that the food is completely cooked. Hamilton Beach 33967 comes with a clip type gasket lid really helps in preventing messy spills. It also comes with a clip on spoon. It has one year limited warranty.

Usability

The digital display panel of Hamilton Beach 33967 is easy to use. The timer is easy to set up. The power interrupt protection feature is a good one I guess. It has 3 cooking modes manual, program and probe. You can use manual mode for heating food items. Program mode helps you to cook while you are away. The probe mode uses the thermometer to cook to the exact food temperature. Hamilton Beach 33967 has an automatic keep-warm system which automatically shifts to warm when cooking is done.

Tightly sealed lid will help prevent leaking and the handles are pretty wide as well which makes it easy to carry around. The whole cooker is quite heavy though, it weighs around 17 pounds. The glass lid and stoneware are dishwasher safe, so cleaning won’t be an issue.

Cooking

It takes around one and a half hours to cook meat. It cooks meat quite well on the probe mode. However, if you want your vegetables well cooked, you will have to cut them into much thinner pieces. Hamilton Beach 33967 slow cooker isn’t that good with larger slices of vegetables.

Customer Complaints

After all the great things we talked about Hamilton Beach 33967, there is one issue with this slow cooker that I would like to bring to your notice. Some customers have reported that this cooker shut-off after cooking for couple of times. Most reported cases had their slow cooker dead after six or seventh cooking. I hope that Hamilton Beach fixes this issue as soon as possible, otherwise people will stay away from this wonderful slow cooker (except for the shut-off problem).
