Michley Lil’ Sew & Sew LSS-202 Review

Sewing Machine Reviews Recommendation Level : HIGH

This sewing machine is not for you, if you are looking to sew regularly. This will suite people who want to fix their fabrics here and there, hem the jeans, fix blankets etc. It sews denim reasonably well. It also comes with a 42 piece sewing kit.

User Manual

The user manual has clear instructions on how to thread the machine. You will have to take some to time to read the manual completely. There are some incorrect information as well. You will be better off watching some set up videos.

Setting Up

LSS-202 is pretty easy to set up. Threading the machine is slightly difficult as the machine tends to flip over whenever your hand goes against the machine while threading. The machine comes threaded, so you can have a look at how it is threaded and replicate it. It comes with top drop-in bobbin which is a good feature. You can use the foot pedal or the hand switch to start. I prefer the foot pedal as it gives more control.

You can easily adjust the thread tension using the turning screw provided in front of the machine. I would have loved to have a reverse threading feature though. There is no work light LED. The machine is incredibly light, weighing at just 4 pounds.

Pros

  • Inexpensive (Probably the cheapest you could ever get)
  • Sews well

Cons

  • No reverse function

Overall, Michley Lil’ Sew & Sew LSS-202 is a cute little sewing machine for those who are looking to start out with their sewing lessons. You can’t expect more features from an incredibly inexpensive sewing machine. For its price, this little sewing machine is the best you could get anywhere in the United States.
