Janome Jem Gold 660 comes with 12 built-in stitches including two stretch stitches, utility stitches and a 4 step buttonhole. The top drop-in bobbin and the automatic needle threader makes using this machine easy. I think Janome has designed this machine with a beginner in mind. There are not many features on this machine, they focused more on quality. It is a sturdy machine.

The accessory pack contains all the necessary accessories required by a beginner.It has a snap on presser feet. You cannot control the presser foot pressure though. The height lever can be adjusted to make space for thick fabrics. Janome Jem Gold 660 can stitch at a speed of 650 stitches per minute.

Usability

Threading Janome Jem Gold 660 is easy as the threading paths are well marked on the machine. You can select the stitches using the dial provided on the side of the machine. It is a 3/4 machine, so you cannot expect all the features of a full-size machine.  The stitches come out nice and good looking. Stitches are straight and accurate. The machine is made of quality material I guess, it can take all the rough treatment from a sewing student.

Limitations
