SINGER 7467S belongs to the confidence series of sewing machines rolled out by Singer. The design of this sewing machine is pretty simple, no fancy looks. You can select the stitches by viewing on the LCD screen. Stitch length and width can be adjusted using the sliders. The storage compartment is big enough for storing all your accessories. The box comes with 4 bonus fashion presser feet as well. It has an automatic twin needle mode for decorative stitches. Similar to all sewing machines sold in U.S, this one also has 25 year limited warranty.
SINGER 7467S comes with drop-in bobbin system with clear cover, which lets you can keep an eye on the thread supply. The bobbin is plastic. It has free-arm sewing capability as well, you just need to remove the storage compartment for free-arm sewing. You can do reverse or lock stitching on this sewing machine. One thing I forgot to tell you is that SINGER 7467S has an automatic needle threader. All in all, it is a beginners sewing machine.
Usability
One nice feature of SINGER 7467S is that the stitch guide is placed in a pull out tray at the bottom of the machine. It has 70 built-in stitches including 7 Essential, 5 Stretch, 55 Decorative and 3 Fully Automatic 1-Step Buttonholes. This machine is very easy to use, the simplicity of this machine is something that really impressed me. Selecting the stitch is so easy. The stitch locking, reinforcing stitch functionality is one nice feature with which you can easily tie-off decorative and straight stitches. Reinforced seams is a must to keep the stitches in tact, luckily SINGER 7467S has an option for it.
Another thing I really liked about SINGER 7467S is that it has automatic tension and extra-high presser foot lifter for working with multiple layers of fabrics. The machine is very easy to thread but the automatic needle threader leaves a lot to be desired.. The user manual is very easy to read and understand, so there was no problem with understanding the directions. Regarding the quality of stitches, it is very acceptable. It has a decent LED work light as well.
Limitations
Stitch length and width adjustment sliders on SINGER 7467S looks a little bit flimsy. The automatic needle threader is not that great. It will take some time to get used to it. In order to remove the bobbin, you will have to remove the small piece of plastic completely, which is really a pain at times.

The thing I really liked about this sewing machine is its simplicity. SINGER 7467S is very easy to use for beginners. But the automatic needle threader really disappointed me. So I would suggest you to have a look at Singer 7258 which has lot of extra features including 100 built-in stitches. It also won Women’s Choice Award for the ‘Best Home Sewing Machine’. Singer 7258 just costs a couple of dollars more.
