Janome Turbo Teal is a good machine for kids or people who are just starting out. It is an extremely lightweight, portable sewing machine. It just weighs 5 pounds. This sewing machine has all the features of a beginners machine but in smaller size. It is available in six colors Pink Lightning, Turbo Teal, Buzzin’ Blue, Fastlane Fuchsia, Orange Blaze and Purple Thunder. Fancy colors make this machine pretty. Kids will love those colors.

Janome Turbo Teal comes with a specially designed presser feet which prevents children’s little hands from getting hurt with the needle. Talk about child friendly sewing machines, this one is the best you could get for the price. It has 10 built-in stitches which include both utility and decorative stitches. There is a drawer for storing all the accessories. A dial is provided for adjusting the thread tension manually.

Janome Turbo Teal has a top load drop-in bobbin system with clear cover, which is an excellent feature for the price. You can do reverse and free arm sewing using this sewing machine.

The hand protection feature is a nice addition that gives me great confidence as a parent. The stitches are of good quality as well. It is not a good idea to sew thick fabrics with this sewing machine. It is made for sewing light fabrics.

Limitations

Janome could have included an LED work light. It also struggles with multiple layers of denim. It is not designed for heavier fabrics either.
