Brother XR1300 and CS6000i are not comparable when you consider the prices. The thing that makes these two machines comparable is the price of refurbished XR1300. Refurbished XR1300 and new CS6000i cost almost the same. Since the prices are this close, a side by side comparison is always possible. There is no question on which one is more advanced. XR1300 is way more advanced than CS6000i. But what makes CS6000i a decent competitor is its popularity. It is the ‘King of Best Sellers’. It has been a best seller ever since it was released.

Thread Cutter : XR1300 features an automatic thread cutter whereas CS6000i comes with a manual one. This is one feature that doesn’t make a huge difference but still is a good luxury to have.

To be honest, I really don’t trust refurbished machines even if they are available at heavy discounts. A refurbished machine is one that had some issue when it came out of the factory, that is the reason why it went back to the factory. Who can guarantee that the issue won’t pop up again? Get it only if it is a completely new machine.
