This time we are going to have a look at the 8 Best Sewing Machines For The Money under $200. We are having a look at those machines that can provide value for your money. What does value for money mean? It means quality, usability and price, in combination. A value for money sewing machine should be the one that you will pay for, even if it costs $50 or something more. In this list you may see a lot of Brother sewing machines. This is not because we are biased. Since we are only talking about machines under $200, other brands like Singer, Janome or Juki doesn’t have a lot of quality machines in this category. Janome and Juki does have some quality machines but they all cost well above $300.

8. Brother XL2610

This is the only inexpensive sewing machine that really comes under $100 price category and yet has some decent quality associated with it. It is the least expensive sewing machine in our list of 10 Best Sewing Machines For The Money under $200. For the price, it does a very good job. Some of the highlights are 25 built-in stitches, automatic needle threader (which you normally don’t see on inexpensive sewing machines), top drop-in bobbin (again, another feature that you normally don’t get on such low cost machines), free arm etc. The sewing machine is very light, weighing at just 11 pounds.

Cons : Brother XL2610 doesn’t have a lot to offer for an experienced sewer. It is a machine that will suit novices. Buttonhole making on this machine can be difficult for beginners as it comes with a 4-step one instead of 1-step buttonhole. One more thing, never expect this machine to serve you for 5 years.

It comes with features like 70 built-in stitches, LCD stitch selection, 7 one-step buttonholes, wide table, drop-in bobbin system, automatic needle threader, drop feed etc. The machine provides consistent stitch quality as well.
