Honeywell HCM-350 claims that it will kill 99% of bacteria and viruses. All parts of HCM-350 is dishwasher safe. Honeywell has designed this product for medium sized rooms, but it works well for large rooms as well. HCM-350 comes with 3 year limited warranty.
Honeywell produces one of the best humidifiers available in U.S. This model from Honeywell, HCM-350 doesn’t disappoint at all. This is one of the best in U.S market I guess.
One thing you will notice is how quiet this machine is. It is incredibly quiet even on maximum speed. Honeywell says that this machine will run for 24 hours on one refill. Actually don’t expect a 24 hr run time on highest setting, it normally lasts for around 15 hrs with one full tank. Under low setting it last for about 3 nights.
In areas where you get hard water, Honeywell HCM-350 is the right choice as it leaves no white dust. The wick filters from Honeywell is not of great quality. It is one area to improve upon. You can buy wick filters from other manufacturers. I recommend Sunbeam SWF-227 which makes it easy to squish them down when they are soaked.
The tank is dishwasher safe which makes cleaning pretty easy. Apart from the wick filters, another part you will have to replace is the UV lamp which kills bacteria and virus. The air quality from HCM-350 is excellent. It doesn’t generate heavy moisture which makes you feel muggy. It is a fairly decent sized machine and it works great in small rooms. However, it does a decent job in larger rooms as well, but it is not very effective if you want to humidify the entire house.
