Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe Carpet Washer User Review – Great For Carpets, Not So Much For Upholstery

FH50150 is a smaller unit. It is very easy to assemble, you just need to insert two screws in  the handle and you are done. Light weight and smaller size makes it easy to move around through narrow spaces.

One area where Hoover power scrub carpet washer scores against its competitors is its cleaning ability and low wetness. This carpet cleaner uses more detergent though. I am not really bothered about how much detergent it consumes as long as it cleans well, it really does. I think Hoover has done quite a lot of refining on its carpet washers. This machine doesn’t require pre-mixing, so it makes filling hot water and detergent tank much easier. On other carpet cleaners you will have to mix the cleaning solution and water manually.

All power and handling controls are well placed. All attachments that come with hoover power scrub deluxe carpet washer are very useful except the crevice tool ( really don’t know what its purpose is).

Hoover power scrub deluxe is the best choice, if you have a lot of carpets to clean. Its redesigned dirty water tank has an easy to use plug to pour out the water. On other carpet cleaners, you will have to take off the lid to get rid of the dirty water. The plug for dirty water removal is a huge advantage when you clean a lot of carpets. The automatic stop button kicks in when you need to remove dirty water. You don’t have to take the lid off every now and then for water removal, instead you just need to open the lid only when you finish cleaning for rinsing and cleaning sponge filters at the end of the day. It literally leaves no detergent or chemicals on the carpet.

Overall, Hoover power scrub carpet washer is a good product for cleaning carpets, but not so much for upholstery. If carpet cleaning is your sole purpose, don’t look any further. If you want a multi-purpose carpet and upholstery cleaner, try a different product ( FH50150 does clean upholstery well, but it is not very impressive, it does an Okay job, not a great one).
