SINGER 3323S Talent is an entry level sewing machine. Singer targets beginners with this model. It comes with 23 built-in stitches which include 6 basic stitches, 12 decorative stitches, 4 stretch stitches and a fully automatic one-step buttonhole.The stitches on the dial are marked in black and blue. The black is for functional and decorative stitches. Blue stands for stretch stitches.The stitch length adjustment can be done using a dial.
You can adjust stitch width on SINGER 3323S to a maximum of 5mm. It comes with top loading drop-in bobbin, which is pretty much the standard for modern sewing machines. The bobbin cover is transparent as well. So you can always keep an eye on the thread supply. It also has a built-in automatic needle threader.
SINGER 3323S has a heavy duty skeleton which adds to the stability of this sewing machine. It comes with a snap-on presser feet and also has extra-high presser foot lifter for working with thick fabrics. Automatic tension ensures consistent stitch quality. This is a lightweight machine. Verdict
This is a machine made to last. There are no electronic parts to stop working all of a sudden nor there are many plastic parts to be chipped off. SINGER 3323S justifies its tag as a beginners sewing machine as it can handle rough use quite well. If you love a mechanical sewing machine, this is one model to consider. But, as I said earlier, it is slightly priced high.
Let me give you another alternative model to consider, but to consider this one, there are some conditions for you to qualify. You have to be a person who trust computerized sewing machines and don’t really worry about the plastic parts. You must be a person who loves ease of use more than the durability of a sewing machine. The model I am talking about is Brother CS6000i, which has far better features than SINGER 3323S and it costs few dollars less. It is also listed among “Machines You Can Buy With Your Eyes Shut”.
