Comparison between Singer 4411 and 4432, which are the two best selling entry level heavy duty sewing machines from Singer. One is definitely better than the other.
Whenever you search for a budget heavy duty sewing machine in US, you will surely come across the 44 series machines from Singer. 4411 and 4432 are two prominent heavy duty machines among Singer’s 44 series. These two machines have made their name for stitch quality and affordability. The most interesting thing is that, both machines are priced very close to each other even though both differ in features. As of now, the price gap is very narrow, so you must know which machine offers more value for your hard earned money.
Singer 4411 Vs 4432 – Features Comparison
Both machines look very similar from the outside. There is only a slight change in color. Singer 4411 is kind of ash in color, whereas 4432 is inclined towards dark grey. The real difference comes in the features. Let us have a look at the differences.
Built-in Stitches : This is where the decision is made 8 out of 10 times. Singer 4432 has a clear advantage here with 32 built-in stitches. Whereas 4411, as suggested by its model number, comes with only 11 built-in stitches. 4432 will be a better choice as you have more options to choose from. Stitch options on 4411 is limited and you will overgrow the machine pretty fast. The extra stitches you get with 4432 when compared to 4411 are 7 stretch stitches and 14 decorative stitches.
Automatic Needle Threader : Another deal breaker for 4411. An automatic needle threader is a basic feature required by sewers nowadays. It saves a lot of eye strain, as the machine threads the needle for you. 4411 lacks it. 4432 on the other hand has an automatic needle threader on board.
1-step Buttonhole : Advantage 4432 here as well. 4432 has the modern, easy to use 1-step buttonhole for making perfect buttonholes. Whereas 4411 still uses the old 4-step buttonhole. Instead of finishing the buttonhole in one step, you will have to go through four agonizing steps.

Singer 4411 Vs 4432 – Performance Comparison
Both 4411 and 4432 use the same motor, so there is not a lot of difference in their performances. Both machines can easily go though 8 layers of denim. The stitch quality is excellent. Singer 44 series machines have the most powerful motor in the segment and it shows in the results. But when you consider the the user-friendly features like automatic needle threader and 1-step buttonhole on 4432, I would rate 4432 a notch higher as a beginners machine.
Verdict
Go with Singer 4432. It is a no-brainer, unless it is priced way higher than 4411. Right now the price difference is very small, which makes 4432 better value for money proposition.
